The Government of India has decided to celebrate "Swachhta Pakhwada" from the year 2018. It is overseen by all the Ministries of the Government of India in coordination with the State Governments and Union Territories.
Like every year, this year also Dt. "Sanitation fortnight" will be celebrated in all the primary schools of the state from September 1 to 16, 2021. Teachers and students in primary schools will have to participate keeping in view the guideline of Kovid-12. In which the teachers of the school have to inform the students about the cleanliness and maintenance of the school. The following activities should be carried out during the clean fortnight.
Hygiene fortnight with the participation of students, teachers and the community should promote covid related preparations in schools / institutions. Considering the Kovid-19 epidemic in schools / institutions, the following three things should also be emphasized. (1) Hand wash with soap (2) Proper use of mask (3) Maintain social distance and 3 15 (Trace, test and treatment).

1. On the first day of the fortnight all primary schools will have to take an oath of cleanliness. In which all the teachers and students of the school will have to participate through virtual means and maintaining social distance.
2. In the first week SMCs / PTAs will have to organize the meeting between teachers and parents through virtual medium and maintaining social distance. The importance of hygiene and hand washing, use of masks, social distance should be encouraged.
3. Teachers to inspect water and sanitation facilities in each school / institution and to make proposals / plans for repair and maintenance of facilities if required.
4. Competitions should be organized in districts / talukas / clusters for clean and well maintained spaces and toilets in schools.
5. Essay / slogan writing quiz competition for students on hygiene and cleanliness in schools should be done through virtual medium. Hygiene awareness messages should be posted on the website of the school / institution / department and

Hygiene photographs should be displayed in the school. All the teachers of the school and the head of the school will have to take online training as per the module placed on the DIKSHA portal. 7.
8. The hygiene of the students of the school should be appointed as the ambassador and the principal of the school should be appointed as the nodal officer.
The following activities should be done by the teachers and administrative staff of the schools following the guideline of KOVID-12.

2. Electronic banners can be created and uploaded on the department state web portal to highlight the fortnight. Publicity and awareness generation can be done through the use of social media, as well as electronic and print media.
The suggested action plan for Swachhta Pakhwada 2021 (01 to 16 September, 2021) is included in the enclosure. Necessary action will have to be taken accordingly. Students, teachers, parents, local people and other representatives etc. are asked to provide necessary cooperation in sanitation lessons from 01 to 16 September 2021 and to make the sanitation lessons a success.
Information on the day-to-day activities of schools and students participating in various competitions and day-to-day activities in the clean fortnight, wise photographs, videos, films etc. should be uploaded by the school principal on Google Tracker and Drive by 8.00 pm.

A All teachers, staff and students of schools and educational institutions will have to take an oath of cleanliness on the first day by maintaining a virtual / social distance. In which children have to talk about hygiene and take a resolution (mask, safe distance, hand hygiene etc.) hygiene / covid awareness message should be posted on the website of the department / institutions / schools.

To organize community awareness day seminar (virtual / small groups) on the theme of hygiene to promote hygiene and covid safe behavior in children.
Together with local representatives, teachers and students should promote the theme of vaccination among the people in the local areas under Sanitation Fortnight, Kovid-19.
The number of students participating in Community Awareness Day, photographs and videos and promotional materials must be uploaded to Google Tracker and Drive.

Raising awareness about the need for proper hand washing in daily life.
Children should be taught proper method / steps / timing of hand washing with soap before and after meals.
Review and ensure barrier-free access to drinking water and toilet facilities for disabled students.
Water from the hand washing unit should keep school gardens clean. Children are taught about water borne diseases / diseases, safe care of drinking water so that they can do proper hand hygiene.
