As you are aware, Ministry of Home Affairs vide order no 40-3/2020-DM KA) dated 29.06.2020 (copy enclosed) has issued guidelines on Unlock 2, has been directed whereby it school, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain close till 31.07.2020. It has been further stated that online/distance learning shall to be permitted shall be encouraged (Pars (1) of the refers). Accordingly, for this purpose essential teaching/non-teaching staff or research scholars etc. should continue to work from home and as far as possible they should not be called to the schools/colleges/institutions.
Now, if schools start after Diwali, it will be impossible to complete a two-semester course in one session. So the state education department is also planning to reduce the curriculum in that situation. The curriculum will be reduced based on how many days of study the students get, the sources said.
